A walk in the sun

Today we started our new focus on the trees around us. I had it in my head to go and look at the beautiful (if not some what decapitated!) oak growing in our garden, but the learners had much better ideas! they descovered a lemon tree in various stages of fruit production. Lots of discussion and photo taking took place....even if some of it was slightly off topic (whos turn it was it to take the next pic anyway?).

 The lemon Tree

The Sweet smelling blossom

Do you see the beginnings of the lemons...these ones still have the stigma attached!

Baby Lemons - the size of a large marble

Chuckles was amazed at how the lemons were camouflaged, it wasn’t until you looked closely that you realised just how heavily laden the tree was!

The learners were still keen to go see the oak.

Bird watching and sketching
